Belgian Tervuren Rescue Inc. (BTR) is a non-profit 501 (c) (3) organization. It is comprised of the collective efforts of a dedicated group of volunteer individuals who love the breed and feel obligated to ensure the protection and well-being of all Belgian Tervuren regardless of their lineage or background.
The mission of Belgian Tervuren Rescue, Inc. is to act on behalf of any homeless, purebred Belgian Tervuren. To attain this goal, Belgian Tervuren Rescue, Inc. will remove dogs which are unwanted, impounded, neglected or abused from their current situation and place all adoptable dogs in responsible, permanent homes. Prior to placement Belgian Tervuren Rescue, Inc. will provide temporary foster care, basic health care, training and temperament evaluation to ensure an optimal match for both the dog and the adopter. Rescue volunteers also provide follow-up, training and education to the new owners of the adopted Tervuren to ensure the success of the placement.
