QUICK REFERENCE GUIDE FOR THE JUDGE

test.gif (19663 bytes)

Judge Positively  - Faults should be weighed against the power of the dog's positive traits, with the winner being the one having the most remaining virtues after assessing and and taking it's faults into consideration as appropriate.

Certainly a dog with outstanding breed type should always be in strong contention for the winners circle, unless its faults seriously affect the ability of the dog to herd under all conditions, such as serious problems with its gait, bite, coat or temperament.

If you followed the Judges Guide in the order it was presented, this concludes our presentation.  See our schedule of National, Regional, and supported shows.  We encourage you to talk to our mentors at any time. Their names and addresses are listed under the section, "About the Judges Education Committee" below. We also encourage your feedback about this site in general.
