The ABTC needs Breeder Information Contact (BIC)
volunteers. Help others join in promoting our breed.
The duties of a BIC are:
 | Notify the BI chair of any changes in address,
phone, or e-mail. |
 | Keep reasonably informed about breeding plans and
litters in your area. |
 | Be reasonably available to inquiries by mail,
telephone, and e-mail. |
 | Respond courteously to all inquiries from people
seeking to acquire a Terv. |
 | Inform people seeking a Terv of all the pros and cons
to living with a Terv. |
 | Provide unbiased information regarding specific ABTC
Member breeders, breedings, and breed issues. |
 | Refer inquiries to Members in good standing and who are
known to require health clearances (i.e. hips, eyes, CERF) on their dogs. |
 | Attempt to screen puppy mills and others who display
motives or attitudes contrary to the ABTC Code of Ethics. |
- To become a BIC you must meet the following requirements:
- ABTC Regular Member in good standing.
- ABTC member for 10 years.
- Never suspended by the ABTC, AKC,
or regional club.
- Membership in an area
club, if there is one in your area.
- References by two ABTC members who have been in the club for 10 years.

ABTC Code of Ethic’s or

Volunteers meeting the

chair. Applications will be reviewed by the Breeder Information Committee and
the volunteer will be notified via e-mail if they’re
accepted as a BIC.
